If you have the Java version of Minecraft, it will be very simple to activate this command. First, make sure that your single player world has the following cheats activated. If it is not, open the menu by pressing “Esc” on your keyboard, now click on the option open for lan and then Allow Cheats:off. Finish by clicking on start world LAN and that's it, now you can use cheats in Minecraft.

To activate the keep inventory, open the game chat, in most cases by pressing the “t” key, and type “/Gamerule keepinventory true” (without the quotes). That’s it, now you know how to activate the keep inventory in Minecraft Java! To disable it, just type “/Gamerule keepinventory false”.

How to enable keep inventory in Minecraft Bedrock

If you play Minecraft in the Bedrock version, the steps to activate the keep inventory are a little different. First, you will not enable it within the game, but rather on the world selection screen. There, you will click on the pencil image next to the world in which you want to enable the keep inventory. Now just look for the “keep inventory” option and enable it.
